Baja California Natural History 101 Overland Expedition
A journey into a desert peninsula
On our 14 day Baja California natural history expedition, we dive into the vast diversity of landscapes, both cultural and geographic, as we use our vehicles to explore the desert between two seas. These trips are open to ANY overland rig as long as they are 4x4, and groups are limited to a maximum of 4 vehicles. Remember, I don’t operate these trips to create a wagon train for folks who merely want to feel safe while traveling in Baja. You don’t need me for that. I operate these trips to provide travelers with a strong sense of place and foundational understanding of which elements truly make up the cultural and geographic backbone of this peninsula. From workshops on farming in mountain oases, ranchero heritage, learning about aquaculture and mangroves in Bahia Magdalena, to visiting biosphere reserves and UNESCO World Heritage Sites while earning about the unique flora and fauna which inhabit these regions, my aim is to provide a comprehensive safari style education while visiting the dynamic outdoor classroom which are the wild lands of the Baja California peninsula.
